[Processing]:updated to 0109 and 0110

processing.org近來的更新次數可以用”朗之update”來形容，短短一個星期來竟然對processing進行了三次更新，而且還為JOGL這個lib對 mactel ─ mac的 intel cpu等硬件作支持，當中最吸引我的是他又對windows quicktime 進行了bug fix：

這個正正就是我早陣子一直不解的問題，希望今次真的可以用到video lib這個功能吧。

[Processing] Updates and Release 0108

Good evening Processing people,

Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day and the NCAA tournament here in the
States, we’ve just released Processing 0108. It can be downloaded from
the usual location:

We thought it would be a good time to send an update on our progress,
because we miss you and haven’t had a chance to write since 2005.
Besides, December was ten whole releases ago.

The past few months have brought with it lots of interesting additions
to your favorite (or at least our favorite) programming environment:

PDF EXPORT
In addition to rendering 2D, 3D and 3D with OpenGL acceleration, we’ve
added automatic PDF export for your Processing sketches. This means that
you can just say size(400, 400, PDF, “awesome.pdf”) at the beginning
of your sketch to have it render in full resolution vector goodness.
As an added bonus, you can use different sizes than 400×400, and even
name it something awesomer than “awesome.pdf”.

DXF EXPORT
For the artichokes and others of the CAD persuasion, you can also
capture lines and triangles from your 3D sketches to a DXF file,
suitable for import into your favorite modeling application. Just
imagine, Peter Cho’s “Letter K” example rendered on the stereo
lithography machine or the laser cutter.

COLOR PICKER
A built-in color picker has been added to the Tools menu. No longer
do you have to purchase a copy of Photoshop(r) or Illustrator(r) just
to have a decent color picker for your Processing sketches. Think of
the money you’ll save.

BOOKING
Casey continues work on the Processing book and the drafts are just
as quickly devoured by red pens. The pages make their way between
East and West coasts with the help of the U.S. Postal Service (pray
for them), and at least for the time being, Casey is still willing
to talk to Ben.

THE BUGS KEEP ON COMIN’, AND SO DO THE FIXES
We’ve ironed out some weird issues with saving of sketches that showed
up in some of the recent releases. These were found and squashed with
the help of the intrepid bug finders (only slightly different from
“disgruntled beta users”) on the “discourse” section of the site.
Other fixes include such a range of things that we couldn’t include
them here lest this message wind up quarrantined in your spam folder.

WORKING THE NET
The Processing website has gone through a major revision at the
hands of Lenny Burdette, building on the work of Florian Jenett.
It looks the same, but is different on the inside. If you’re teaching
a course or holding an event that is Processing-related, please add
it to the website. Click on the “Add Happening” or “Add Course” links
on the home page. Also check out the sites for “Processing Hacks”
and “Processing Blogs”, developed by members of the community:

at last, i handle the 2D part too. i change some shader of the heart and the brain but still rough. and i model a webcam and put one eye inside it. i love the colour tone, of cos i done it in photoshop.and finish the layout in illustrator. hope that layout can give you “雙星” feel.
